This is the only ad that my housemate has bought on ebay. It was taken from a bound volume of Time and the seller didn't even bother to trim the side. It looked terrible. It's now been trimmed but it looks pretty crooked. This ad appeared in Time, 10/13/58 and pictures the Pickup Truck, 1764-lb. payload and the Panel Delivery, 170 cu. ft. capacity.
The text reads: Turns of a dime . . . parks on a dime . . . runs on pennies. In but a matter of months, businessmen have found the Volkswagen Truck so sound an investment that, today, it has become the fastest growing seller in the U. S. A. Ask your dealer to show you comparative operating costs. He can prove that Volkswagen trucks deliver the goods . . . for less."
Interested parties could write in for a free brochure - "Go Places with Volkswagen Trucks."
